I think the same thing every time I watch something like that. And I am absolutely fascinated by WWII, everything about it. But I do think it's helpful, and necessary. So we don't forget it happened. Some dramatizations are done better than others, though, and are more respectful.

How could you get punished for singing the Canadian national Anthem in French? Did they think you were being disrespectful? Or as it was in French they thought you were a real Pinko Commie...
Neither. I was 8 and I grew up with a father who was a hockey nut and I thought I was singing the USA national anthem, I had no idea that I was singing the Canadian National Anthem.

Sometimes even when we know what we should do we make the wrong decision anyway. You're not in that boat alone. If you've tried everything else and you it doesn't bring some closure maybe walking away might be best. I know how it is to try to walk away but then some how get sucked back in. Then get pissed at yourself for getting back into a shitty situation. Thanks for the advice and good luck with your X.

Low taxes here are a farce. In Pennsylvania the gas tax is 44 3/4 cent/gallon sales tax is 6%, property tax (one of the lowest in the state) in my township is 1/2 mil the occupational privlige tax is $50/year there is another tax which i have been able to avoid which is $1.25/week then local tax, state tax, federal tax, luxury tax, gas guzzler car tax, taxes on all utilities, extra tax on cigaretts, beer, guns, and ammo. Other states tax clothes and groceries. They even tax social security upon qualifing for it.
In all it works to be over 50%, for a single guy like me i wouldn't be surprised it is close to 60%.
