Three bits of news to share with you all, and random ramblings.
Visiting LA....
I'll be spending a month in San Fran and LA soon, maybe 2-3 months from now. I did the same thing earlier in the year but I'm looking forward to the visit even more than last time! Basically all I do is spend time "building relationships" with my US counterparts, this is otherwise known as drinking ourselves silly... Great times ahead!
Demo of the game....
Last week I sent an email around the company congratulating my team on a great pre-production. I put some screenshots in and talked about some new features as well... anyway my boss in the US forwarded my email to the president of the games label who's now coming down to play our game... With only a week's notice I've had the guys working late every night, its paid off though and the game now looks and plays even better. The demo is tomorrow morning... I'm freaking out a bit and prob won't sleep tonight! If it goes well I'm taking everyone drinking on Thursday, if it goes bad we'll still go out but be drinking even more
The Rich Uncle...
I have this uncle by marriage that passed away this week. He's only been in the family for about 5 years so its not a personal loss. However what's sad is that my extended family and his family have gone to war over the will. None of them visited him in hospital and hardly any are going to the funeral tomorrow. I'll try and make the 3pm service out of respect for my late aunt he was married to but the game demo may delay me.
On a completely unrelated subject... I've met tons of ace people on SG. Generally everyone's really nice and more importantly are interesting people! One girl in particular on SG seems like a lot of fun, even if she is often distracted by a big hairy guy when we chat :p
Ahh what else do I have to say... Summer is almost here, time to pull out the Mankini!
