We'll start with the bad stuff then move on:
Still haven't found a new job. Starting to explore ways of making do until a full-time gig comes up. The good side, I'm still getting paid for another month even though i'm not doing, or having to do, anything.
The boat on which I race hasn't gone out once this season. REALLY SUCKS. The good side, we're racing tongiht! if there's no lightning.
The place I volunteer is in dire financial straits thanks to a jackass former director who has finally been "let go" and the enabling Board, that still doesn't get how bad they really are. The good side, the sailor's advisory group is a really great bunch of people and we're all in sync with how to improve the organization and get it back on its feet.
More just plain good stuff:
DC not long ago legalized gay marriage. Two friends of mine are possibly going to have their ceremony on our organizations schooner!
This coming weekend, I'll be testing to get my Keelboat Instructor's certification from US Sailing. Wish me luck.
