So, who wants to write a compare/contrast essay for me? Ehh? Eeehhhh? *nudge*
JDM vs. USDM. Muyyy interesante.
I swear to God, I have never sent so many faxes in my life. Some guy came in and wanted to send a 48 page fax. What the fuck. Plus there were two other people that came in, and the phone has been ringing off the hook.
At least I've had time to get my Algebra homework done. Whoo. I swear, I don't know why I signed up for Algebra. I already know like, 95% of this stuff. I guess I thought I'd forgotten most of it, since it's been like 4 years since I've had algebra...
*sigh* oh well. The review probably would do me some good.
Plus, that's what I get for waiting last minute to sign up for classes. That's basically all they had open, haha.
Same thing happened with my English class. Actually, I'm in Comp, which fuckin' blows because I might as well still be in highschool English. But once again, signing up late for classes really bit me in the ass. *facepalm*
I wish I was in an actual English class. I feel so lame.

There's a comic book store 3 blocks from where I live and I'm thinking about submitting a resume there for them to have on file, if they decide to hire someone. It would make my life a lot busier, but I'd absolutely love working there so I think I'd be ok with taking on the extra work.
Oh man, speaking of diets, I was on a diet this summer. Hardest thing I've ever done, but I REALLY wanted to lose weight. Now, 3 months later, I can't eat as much as I used to be able to, and its like I'm on a perpetual diet compared to what I used to eat. I lost about 30 pounds though, so it's totally been worth it
Yeah, CSD is pretty research based. The building where all my CSD classes are has a lot of speech research labs and there are always tons of little children around because they're there to participate in experiments. And yes, the purpose is to learn about, diagnose, and cure disorders that effect speech/hearing/cognition. They also do a lot of exploratory research into ear/vocal physiology because there are apparently a lot of unanswered questions in those areas.
And yes, I can literally choose any major I want. I have friends in the program who are majoring in Classical Studies, Statistics, Sociology, History, French, and International Relations. The point of the program is to allow you freedom to study whatever you want during undergrad without negatively affecting your chances of getting into med school. You're also free to drop out if you choose, but people can't apply into the program once they're at the university.
