Just putting my theory for the next season of Doctor Who right here.

Spoiler. Do NOT click if you haven't seen the finale of Season 7.

John Hurt... I believe HE is the actual Ninth Doctor the one who fought in the time war. The One who condemned all of Gallifrey to death. I think that Eccleston was in fact the 10th and so on. That the Doctor doesn't actually count John Hurt as one of his incarnations because of this. What do you think?

I believe so too. He just wasn't "The Doctor." Going to be interesting to see how they incorporate the past Doctors into the story.

I do love me some John Hurt though. It's like Reese's all over again. "Your John Hurt is in my Doctor Who." "Your Doctor Who is in my John Hurt." Two great tastes that taste great together.
