After watching a couple of Seasons of Deep Space Nine again I realize how ridiculous the fight scene in the series are. I have seen in at least three separate fights some of the main cast of the show go into battle with a large number of "supporting or even leading characters" and they are the only ones to either survive or escape the battle. Especially in Seasons 5 & 6. Anyway, I just found it to be bad writing. Also... during the Dominion "War" why are the Vulcans like never heard from? Why are they getting alliance help from Romulans? Anyway I found it odd.

I don't disagree, but you have to remember, DS9 was the most serialized Star Trek project to date! No one else built storylines that affected things down the road as much as they did. That's when you even notice to ask those questions!
