Dream
Okay, odd as this is. I was an Angel in my dream. Dressed like Ben and Matt in Dogma, the hoodies and jackets no wings. But I was me, I had forgotten my identity and I knew I needed to get it back. I was wandering the earth and I came across a huge tower that I knew was called the Celestial Tower. Within I found devils, hundreds of them, in Samurai armor and wielding flaming katana. I fought my way through floor after floor of these creatures trying to get to the top where I should regain something that is lost.
My dream shifts to me as a little kid on a very large ship. There is a man and woman there that I know are my parents. I am playing with an army man toy. I drop a grenade and when I run after it the whole ship tips freaking everyone out.

One approach is that in this dream you have no sense of "self". You're either a character of someone else's creation or a different variation of yourself. It could be argued that you seize upon whatever personality sticks in your memory and sublimate your own to it. As if searching for some identity you're comfortable with. You try on different personas the way someone else would try on shoes, to see if what fits and what looks good.
