I have majorly been slacking on my @bloghomework lately! I have just been so busy what with moving to a new country and all. So far I'm completely in love with England, and I'm having a blast here.
Anyways, back to the subject of this blog! This week's homework is to tell what our nickname is.
Well, I'm called Raye even outside of Suicide Girls. That's right, my nickname is my actual SG username (sorry I'm boring like that)! Many of my close friends call me Raye and everyone at my old pole studio knew me only as Raye. In fact, the nickname has stuck so much that a lot of the time I accidentally introduce myself to new people as "Raye". Sometimes I even prefer it, it empowers me.
The reason behind this is because my name is based off of the character Rei ("Raye") Hino aka Sailor Mars from Sailor Moon. Partly because we look similar (or used to back when I had super long hair) but mostly because we act exactly the same. We both are very stoic and inverted with a hot temper. I tend to like being on my own instead of hanging out with a lot of people. But at the same time we are incredibly caring and protective over the people who mean the most to us. I also identify best with the element of fire, which Sailor Mars has the power to manipulate. Very soon, I hope to have a tribute to Sailor Mars tattooed on my thigh :)
