@bloghomework for this week was to talk about any experiences in meeting famous people. I don't have any super exciting stories on this topic, but I have met a couple of awesome people.
Before I get to that, I have a side story pertaining to this that I need to vent/ramble about. So I absolutely adore the band In This Moment and they played a show in my city just last weekend. I decided not to go because I didn't feel like spending $25. Well it's only after the show that my dad sends me a picture of his co-worker backstage with Maria Brink (the lead singer) and he then tells me that his co-worker is Maria's uncle and he was at the show and gladly would've gotten me a backstage pass to meet Maria if I had been there. WHUT. That TOTALLY would've been worth $25 and I missed out, wahhh. So I'm pretty upset with myself over that whole ordeal.
So now that we've covered famous people that I could have met but didn't, I'll tell you about a couple of cool ones I actually did meet. I met The Millionaires at warped tour a loooonnnnng time ago (hence why I look nothing at all like my current self).
These girls and their music are a total guilty pleasure for me. I understand that their music sucks (even they themselves claim that they don't have talent and they're just lucky/hot) but I don't know I just love it. But I fell in love with them more when I met them and found out how nice they are. They are so sweet and so kind to their fans! Which honestly I wasn't expecting, I was thinking they'd be more stuck up. But they're sweet girls and they seem like a lot of fun.
At the same warped tour I also had the privilege of meeting Jeffree Star. Okay, I seriously love everything about Jeffree. Number 1 fan, right here. He's amazing and inspirational and perfect and an incredibly talented makeup artist. At the time of meeting him I wasn't so into him yet, in fact my cousin was the one who talked me into waiting in line to meet him for over an hour. But I'm so glad I did because now I can say that I did! Oh and when I walked up to him he goes, "Damn, fucking cutie." I don't even know if that's a good thing or a bad thing because he's gay but whatever I don't care *fangirrrrrrrl* ah. <3
A more recent famous person experience was last summer when I got to meet Josh Scogin from the Chariot (his new band is called '68 which is actually the show that I was at). He was super nice and hilarious and he puts on a kick ass show. Very cool day for me.
It's also worth mentioning that a good life-long friend of mine is Michael Copon. You may know him from Power Rangers Time Force, One Tree Hill, That's So Raven, Bring It On, The Scorpion King 2, the list goes on. He's been in so many projects whether it's as an actor, director, or producer. I've known him since I was like 5 years old and he's the nicest guy you will ever meet. I always forget that he's a celebrity until we're hanging out and a fan comes up and asks for a picture with him and it's the weirdest thing, haha. This photo of us was taken at his very own new production studio that he recently opened up in Virginia, so proud of him!
