So, for those who asked, were concerned, or care: yes, I should be all set with the roommate situation.
Margot_Dent basically moved out Jane 15th, she comes back tomorrow to get her car and the last straggling belongings out of the place and to settle up with me financially.
Then, either the last week of January or Feb 1st, a guy named Rob from Colorado will be moving in for February and March. We talked a bunch on the phone and email, he's sent me a lot of information on himself and offered to pay for things in advance and beyond what was asked, I feel pretty good about him, and it should all work out great.
He'll either be leaving at the end of March, or staying a week or so into April.
Then, April 15th, or maybe a few days sooner, Desdenova will be moving in from Seattle. That'll be great, as his friends from Seattle are my friends and neighbors across the way. It should be juuust fine.
That might even cover me all the way up to September, or a little earlier, depending on his plans and situation, when I will probably be more decided and prepared about getting my own place, or at least moving. There are other ideas in my head, but let's leave it at 'moving'. Or not. Maybe there will be another great roommate situation by then, who knows.
So that's the story. And meanwhile, I'm enjoying the temporary peace of living by myself in my apartment for the short time before it turns into getting kinda boring and lonely. It doesn't much matter as I've been coming home from work around 9:30-10:30 every day lately. Sheesh. I'm beat.
-I really should be taking this time to work more on The unfinished paintings I still have to complete. I've had a few more interested buyers for the finished pieces, and some of the unfinished ones are already promised to people who will buy them when they are done. I need to do these. And want to...and yet...hmmm...inspiration.
