Update. yes. I should do this updating.
So I really need a roommate. Or, I guess, a new place...which I can move into non-immediately or won't completely fuck me with a rent increase.
The possibilities of the latter are causing me to grow only more concerned with the need to resolve the former.
I've had a few possibilities since I learned I would need one, and they've all gone strangely awry, or at least seem to have, as they are not yet confirmed or agreed. Annoying, and concerning.
Truthfully, the thought of posting an ad for a roommate in the public masses (or some services specifically designed to find roommates, but still drawing from the public masses) literally makes me ill to my stomach. I'm just so unhappy and uncomfortable about the idea...and yet, can I swing living on my own? I'm probably ready to do it socially, but financially it's troublesome. As is the prospect of actually moving. wow, what a pain the ass that is.
Somehow, the idea of using SG, or SGLA specifically as a place to try and find a new roomie is less frightening or stomach-churning, though it seems to be wielding far less interest than I once would have thought.
-What ever happened to all those crazy kids with their "I'm moving to LA and I have no place to live HELP ME!" threads? Is everyone suddenly content to stay put in their happy homes? It's just such a wierd turn of social events from what I remember. Sigh. I need some kind of legitimate help or comfort or something, I'm kind of at a loss.
