Not a long line at the polls today...
Happy I didn't have to be there forever, slightly worried about what that might mean for my district.
Actually, I wasn't even on their list, as well as several other people who were there at the same time as me. I called the registrar and got my voter ID# so I could fill out a special ballot. I guess in that way I helped a bunch of other people get their shit together to be able to vote as well.
So, the moral of the story is make sure you bring your State ID with you if you haven't voted yet, and it might be worth calling your state's registrar to get your voter ID number if you registered and never recieved a little card with your info and polling place on it.
-My mother was convinced that this was proof that the government was trying to repress my ability to vote and intimidate more voters into not voting. It smacks a bit of paranoia, but it is awfully strange that 3 out of the 8 people at the time were having the same problem.
