So yeah, Rock.
Another week confirmed at the current temporary gig, with the impression (by being told so) that my work was appreciated.
Like a good little dork, this means a lot to me to be told something like that. It really makes me happy to see a job that could have been for one day become the full two weeks that was it's maximum length. More importantly, in many ways, it's good to hear (I think it's true, anyway) that my efforts in doing the job were sincerely appreciated, and that I wasn't simply filling the void of the person who was out for the 2 weeks.
Once again, big ups (as the kids say) go to Surlyclown for the hookup.
Getting a paycheck today for the week's work, on top of finally (4 weeks later) getting the mysteriously missing last check from my previous job has allowed me to feel a little bit less crippled by my bank account, so I'm feeling a lot more relaxed and human.
In less cool news, the class that I thought was cancelled tomorrow isn't, so I can't head up to SF for a kickass event I've been on the RSVP list. It's too bad, I was really looking forward to it.
-Oh well, 4 out of 5 or something like that.

heh, yeah... i was glad to get pulled into the darkness of the hidden back room (that i didn't know about at first) as well. 
if i hadn't, i wouldn't have gotten to sit next to Ms. Train. and of course, hang out with all the lovely people who were lurking back there as well. that was a weekend i'm sure to never forget! so many awesome people! ::sigh:: why am i in texas?!?
