Bleh, Meh, and Feh all at once, that's today for you.
wierd day. I showed up at work and was told they were goign to move my desk, which basically meant they wanted me to move all of my equipment to another desk myself, then set it up. They didn't figure out that I might need certain things (like a network connection) to actually work there, or think of why the equipment had been set up in the place it was in the first place.
So, I wound up sitting around trying to look busy while they figured out a way to hook me up to the things I needed to be hooked up to in order to get any work done.
The more I thought about it, the more I was bummed about the move. I could get into the specifics of it, but it annoys me to talk about it anymore, and none of you care. Suffice it to say, I was moved farther away from the area that I wanted to be close to and involved in, and put directly next to the area I am trying to get myself farther away from, all the while adding a certain physical level of discomfort.
-Also, Having your back to an open entrance from the main office thoroughfare and directly across from another person's work area pretty much makes you feel like there's someone looking over your back all the time, all day, even when there actually isn't any physically directly behind you.
