Whew...that was a lot of sleeping. I'm back in the world of the living, to some degree. Or at least trying.
The worst part about sleep deprivation followed by inense prolonged hibernation is tat it really takes a little bit to get back into the swing of normalcy. I was completely wierd for the first few hours of work last night, and it wasn't as easy as it should have been to wake up today.
Of course, I had other reasons to be wierd at work. Something really odd happened. Anyone remember waaaaaay back when (I wish we still had the calenders so I could link it) I was convinced I had some sort of gig with this local stop-motioin animation place? Couple of meetings and really good vibe and all that and then suddenly a complete lack of communication? Well this guy rushes into my store asking me if we've got something and suddenly kinda stops as awkwardly as I'm looking at him and I realize it's the head of this studio and he realizes it's me.
So I get like a kind of "so this is where you've been" vibe from him and it's pretty awkward. I'm helping like 2 other people at the same time and comletely lose my thought ability. I sorta help him look for the thing he was looking for knowing full well we don't have it, and he kinda runs out of there in a hurry to try and find what he's looking for at one of the places i suggested.
I guess the good news is he remembered who I was and what I did, so he said "hey, as soon as we have a real production going you know we'll give you a call", which could either be BS or a promising comment, seeing as I've heard rumors about them getting started on something.
Yeah, so I had the mush-brain for a little while, and my cobwebbed inner cranium didn't really help.
-Anyway, back to the same old same old.
