Bleargh.
The big empty fenced-off plot of land next to my new apartment, that I could look down on from the fancy balcony in my new apartment is now filled with big, orange construction vehicles. Ut-oh.
So waking up at 7:30am every day to *CHUNG* *CHUNG* *CHUNG* *CHUNG* *CHUNG* may have just become an additional feature of my new place. ugh.
What's more concerning, actually, is what the hell are they going to build, and will I wind up with a balcony that looks directly into someone's new kitchen or something, like 12 feet in front of me? It's sort of a bummer, since so much light comes in through there, and if they build something tall, I'll lose out on the balcony and the nice windows with all the light.
-Bright side: at least no one can really complain about any noise I might make, because at least I'm not a gigantic 4-ton crane smashing pieces of metal together at 7 in the morning.
