See the good thing about those medicines even if your not just about to die is that it helps your body to fight harder so you don't ever get that way. Lemme see if I can say this the right way... if your about to die from not taking antibiotics, the hospitol will stick needles n stuff in you and not the good kind. Pluss you could be projectile vomitting all over the sterile environment thus creating it to be non-steril and what if... just what if you vomited and it got your iv contaminated... that's just sick man!
