It snowed today...winter has offically reached the loverly state of Vermont. Luckily it was a pretty snow...you know the kind that slowly drift through the air like they have all the time in the world to reach the earth like they know that the ground is still too warm to actually keep them. That's how I love snow. In that slow phase of uncertainty when it doesn't just take over the whole world like it seems to do for the rest of the season.
I went to this charity event yesterday...it's called Empty Bowls. It is held up at UVM and you go in, pay $7 and bring a canned good and they in turn give you a nifty handcrafted ceramic bowl filled with soup, some bread, and something to drink. So not only are you helping feed people but you get to eat something really tasty AND you get a ceramic bowl out of the deal. IT's by far my favorite charity oriented thing I have done. Though my sis, bro, boss and I have pretty much decided that we are going to do some actual charity type work around Christmas seeing as how it is really a wonderful thing to do for others and it makes you feel like you have reason to live yourself...
After that we all went out for drinks (yet another reminder that I should NOT mix various types of liquer...especially when I have to get up early for work the next morning). MY boss has decided that she needs to hook me up with this guy from the company who made our website...I do have a soft spot of computer programer guys...we'll see what comes of it.
Edited to say...I NEED TO GO DANCING!!!!!!! I am thinking I am going to make people go out the weekend after my birthday...maybe I can even get up to Montreal! THat would be pretty damn kick ass!
1) When was the last time you do some sort of charity work and what was it?
A: When I was in high school my fam and I would help put together baskets of food and clothes for homeless people around Christmas and Thanksgiving.
2) Since my mind seems to be wandering about thinking about significant others, what are 2 things that will make you not even consider dating someone?
A: Smoking and gaming...smoking because I am allergic to smoke so I can't be around it therefore I can't be around people who smoke so it pointless for me to date someone who smokes. Gaming cause I have been a gaming widow...it's no fun...I find most forms of escapism to be highly annoying and childish. I am all for getting away from the 'real' world every once in awhile but don't try and live somewhere else all the time...
3) What are two things that you do look for in an SO?
A: An open mind and honesty.
