Started off a good day (pay day) but turned really bad by the end of work...
My brother in New York was involved in an industrial accident and fell 30
feet off scaffolding. He has a compound fracture in his arm, 3 broken ribs,
3 cracked ribs, a punctured lung and cuts and scrapes.He was in surgery
when i found out. They were putting in some pins and rods and closed the puncture.
There was no head trauma so he'll be alright. Just sore for a long time. he was
definitely lucky. My father is on his way up to make sure everything is ok. I'll
update as I hear things.

He came out of surgery around 6... puncture in the lung was small enough it closed on its own... still doped up going to hurt like hell when it wears off but is otherwise doing good.
( How it happened ) Roofing a house with slate tiles and the ones he was on fell. Came down the roof and hit the scaffolding (broken ribs) the boards gave way on impact and fell to roof of and addition (bruises, possible hip injury, cuts). that sent im straight to the ground instead of the concrete patio. caught the mailbox on the way to the ground (broken arm).
he should heal . will update if anything changes
