wow I haven't updated on here for a long time, haven't really felt like writing.
So some good shit is going on my life now... I'm going to get a $5,500 grant from the gov't for flight training! Its going towards my instructor rating, and hopefully once I'm done that I'll get hired on by the school as an instructor relatively quick. It would be nice if something with this whole flying thing worked out for once.
So I've been getting into the books again, reading up on all the crap I've forgotten in the past year. Since I've started reading it, I've realized there isn't that much i've actually forgotten, most of it I just need a little reminding and then its back in my head again. What sucks the most is I'm actually going through it one book at a time kind of thing, and right now I'm at the beginning of a big fucking section called 'air law' which is as exciting as it sounds. I don't wanna read it anymore! Its making my brain turn to poop!
On another note, I went on a trip to a family get together where I met much of Kelly's family (finally!) They had heard that he had gone and gotten himself married, but I guess no one really believed it until he brought me along to prove it!
I had a great time, turns out that all of his uncles are farmers, which meant I fit right in. We bitched about crop prices and everything. Although I knew Kelly's mom grew up on the farm, I didn't realize just how rural a family he really had. It was nice to see that the majority of them aren't city slickers
On the way home we detoured and visited the actual farms that his uncles and aunts live on. One of his uncles is really into gardening and horticulture, so when we stopped there we got bags and bags of fresh veggies... we're gonna be eating so good this week! yummy! We even got purple potatoes!
What else is new... I want to go biking to Canadian tire to return something... but the weather is being so shitty recently. I don't mind a bit of cold and some cloud, but its raining off an on just enough that I'm likely to get soaked if I'm out there for more than half an hour... grrrr
Yay... this weekend is the airshow! yipee!! I got free tickets to go too... which is kickass and makes me happy!
Okay I'm done now... time to go read more poopy air law.
