I have always felt that different parts of my life have been Directed by different Directors...there is always a feel and a sense of some overreaching style or aesthetic. I've gone through a Kubrik, Cohen Brothers, Alex Cox and Scorsese phase. (Martin Scorsese's Cousin was my dentist for a while. He looked a bit like him and sounded alot like him. It used to make me nervous when he would tell me stories and get worked up with a dental drill in my mouth!)
I've gone through alot of hard/weird/crazy time feeling this. Luckily I have been in a Wes Anderson phase the last few years and I have been enjoying that. Unfortunately I feel like it's about to change...let's just hope I don't circle back to that David Lynch period of mine again!
