I'm going to New York!

as things stand, I'll be in Buffalo Wednesday morning. I'll probably spend a few days there, & then head to NYC for a few days.

hopefully, I'll be going to NYC in 2 weeks (I'll find out tomorrow night if I can get the time off or not)--since the person that I usually stay with has moved to Buffalo, I started poking around for hotels, hostels & recent crackdowns Bloomberg has initiated regarding folks that sleep on the subway.

I came across the following in a description of "Bowery's Whitehouse...

anybody know anything interesting to do in Las Vegas on a saturday night?

(hell, I know my chances of getting a response on this journal are roughly similar to my chances of winning a Peoples Choice Award ["Comedic Performace Swallowing a Lightbulb By Accident'])

anyway, I'll probably do what I usually do--get outrageously drunk at 6 p.m. or so & then just kinda wander around...

got a call from the partner in New York this afternoon.

she called last night, but it was late here & 3 hours later there & she was pretty sleepy.

today, she was full of energy, chipper, & talking about suicide.

I had originally taken off this week--I had about ten days off total--& the plan was to fly to New York & spend a...

I have a new roomate.

actually, it's only for a week or so.

actually, it's my sister.

for the most part. my sister & I are diametrically opposed--I spent my 20's traveling around the country & she's never moved away from where we grew up. I drink, smoke & have dabbled in various pharmacueticals & she is quite vocal in her opposistion to all of...

you know how it is when you're talking with a couple of people about current events, how expensive groceries are, the weather, neck pain...just about everything except for the fact that there's a HUGE FUCKING ELEPHANT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROOM.

last night was sort of like that.

have you ever been around someone who's blitzed out of their mind on heroin? it's never...

Hi!
I'm STILL your journal's faithful reader. However as I read most entries really late, I -usually- don't feel like commenting...
.... except for the "what would be your own law"-themed entry, i tried over the top of my head to write one! Finally I was not satisfied with my results. Maybe later?
Did you solve this problem you wrote about, with keeping in touch with your father-in-law until his time is over? and how's the cat you used to catsit?

unrelated: for the past two weeks or so I've had a new partner at work, & either in spite of or because of the fact that he's a right-wing conservative & I'm the exact opposite of that, it looks like we'll probably get along for...
