stupid netflix.

I've been paying the membership fee (which was hiked a couple of months ago) & have gotten quite a few great movies thru it. (& in this town it's pretty much the only way to see, on DVD a non-blockbuster movie made after 2000. or any sort of movie made before then.
thing is: the idea of netflix is: late fees are a pain in the ass. with us, keep 'em as long as you want, & just get 'em back when yer done, kay?
apparently, for me, walking 'em back to the mailbox (6 feet from my front door) is also a pain in the ass, so I've had the same DVDs (The Office, Season 1 & 2; & Eddie Izzard Dress to Kill) for about 3 months now.
thing is, I went ahead & BOUGHT all the aforementioned 2 months ago.
so, for the past, say, 2 & a half months the thoughts meandered thru my head "shouldn't I be getting these back? so's I can get MORE wonderful movies & suchlike filmed entertainment?"
to which some large, ill-understood (by me) chunk of self would reply, "yeah. whatever. tomorrow, eh?"
deadlines, late fees--I hate such things & will resist & circumvent 'em whenever I can. & it always bites me in the ass.
