looks like the trip to NYC at the end of the month probably isn't going to happen.
reasons: might be better to wait until my income tax refund comes thru--I've tramped around NYC both stone-broke & homeless & having a bit of cash in my pocket. having cash is better.
the Partner will be working extra hours the week I'd planned. she'll be able to take a week or 2 off in February.
little sister is coming back for a couple of weeks overlapping my planned "being gone" time. I don't want her breaking in & throwing wild parties. (plus I should probably spent some time with the little reptile, who I kind of like despite the fact her taste in music sucks rocks.)
thus, no New Years Eve in NYC, altho I'll probably head up to SLC. (the last Dec, 31 I was in SLC I rang in the new year in a hot tub full of attractive & quite naked young ladies, so don't weep for me just yet.)

oh, but having that young sis with bad music taste really sucks. my sister has gotten to the point where she'll go with the dixie chicks over Patsy Cline. i just about flipped.
