b-day party for little nephew in few hours. things have been getting wierder between his mother (my sister) & my bro-in law. my sister showed me a letter that his mother had written her a few months back in which she calls my sister a "wacko"--her primary offence being that she's a practicing wiccan.

thing is: I kinda wonder sometimes if my sister & I aren't, in a way, in a number of ways, "damaged goods" for the past several generations, it seems that cheating is kind of "in the blood"--I don't know if it happens more with my family or if we're just more lousy at hiding it. I myself have screwed up a number of intriguing, budding romances by laying my cards on the table right off the bat as far as other women I'm interested in &/or sleeping with.

question: you tell yourself that you're never going to turn into your parents, & then one morning you look in the mirror & realize that you're invading Iraq, because...because...well, just freakin' BECAUSE. alright? do I need a REASON for bombing the shit out of a bunch of brown people? c'mon, people, you were with me on the Afghanistan thing..daisy cutters & cluster bombs, baby!
