still sick, but I seem to be at the tail-end of it. (however, ladyfriend who's staying with me started sneezing tonight, so maybe we'll just pass it back & forth for a while)
took 2 nights off work & have spent most of the last two days wrapped up in a quilt, swilling herbal tea (& the occasional beer, which isn't too good for the immune system, but hell) & either watching movies (Black Orpheus, Laurence Olivier's Hamlet) or t.v., or listening to NPR or practicing the guitar.
I have direct deposit at work, & I don't usually bother to pick up my paystub. I had my sister, who works at the same place, pick it up for me tonight so she could call & tell me how many sick days I've accrued.
I was doing fine as far as that goes, but she noticed that on the last paycheck they neglected to pay me for an entire week.
I hadn't noticed, & chances are that I probably wouldn't've. I just don't like to think about money unless absolutely neccessary, & there was enough to take care of bills & what-not, so I just kinda didn't notice that my balance was lighter by 800$ or so than it should've been.
hopefully I'll get it all straightened out tommorrow.
