in about two weeks my partner, the love of my life, the cream in my coffee, the shine on my shoes, the crunch in my cheerios, will be coming out west.

I can't get any time off from my job, & the weekends don't quite fit for various reasons too numerous to go into here.

I can get few days off for some sort of medical appointment reason. which may involve convincingly faking a seizure. which I've been practicing.
also--
went out for a little bit last night & ran into a girl that I went to high school with.
who I've had a crush on since I first met her.
who I talk to rarely even tho she lives maybe 10 minutes away. (married, has a kid)
who worked with the partner for a few months when she (the partner) came to stay with me a few years ago.
thing is: the partner identifies self as a lesbian, generally, but, as a way of being nice to guys, has sex with them.
up until a month ago there were two fellows we knew in common who, out of all the people we knew in common, I was sure she hadn't had sex with.
I had to cross one of those names off the list. (I kinda walked in on them as he was, conveniently, my best friend, & we were staying with him for a few days. but they convinced me it was "just a backrub")
it's complicated--(& things got much wierder when I kinda sorta had sex with said best friend's girlfriend, at the prompting of best friend--to, I guess "even things out", prepatory to his telling me that he had, indeed, had sex with partner. then things got way wierder.)
anyway, I mentioned to Girl from High School that the partner was coming back, & there was something about the way she said "Make sure you tell her Hi from me." that makes me kinda wonder.
