took the little neice to the duckpond & then the park for a little while this afternoon. (had I known we we were going to the duckpond I might've scrounged up something to toss to 'em, but we just kinda ENDED UP at the duckpond--so we just kinda looked at the ducks, she giggled at the geese--& we moved on)
the sister was pissed because I was supposed to watch her up at the bro-in-laws place but he'd forgotten to put the key out.
he was kinda pissed because she just told him that "we were at the park" & although it's a pretty tiny town, there're still maybe 6 or 7 parks, plus a National Park a little ways away--
anyway, little neice has made full recovery, & there's really no way to tell anything happened except when you brush her hair aside & see the staples. she was overdue for a nap which, in a two-year-old usually translates to a burst of manic energy which usually translates to hung-over uncle being dragged from slide to swingset to playset to bouncy firecar back to swingset back to slide. we'd also picked up a couple of storybooks at the library but she was more in the mood for running around in the sunshine, which is understandable, which is what I should be doing right now instead of squinting at the computer & listening to the Allman Brothers.
ah well.

hmm. tried to make pic all menacing & sinister in the Spirit of the Season. needs some work, I think.

question: What's so funny 'bout peace, love & understanding?
