bits & pieces:
the Laura Love putamayo collection I bought was shrink-wrapped, has "the Laura Love Putamayo Collection" painted on the top part of the c.d., but when I played it it was twelve-tracks of piano concertos, Chopin, I think.
is this one of those wildly valuable mistakes like the sheet of stamps with the one airplane upside-down or should I just mail it back to putamayo & get the right c.d.? (I still have an envelope of carnation instant breakfast that's sealed, but empty, that was in a box I bought about a month ago---my morning prep for work consists of lingering as long as possible in the shower, stepping out, shivering in cold house, seeing the time, realizing that I have maybe 40 seconds to pack lunch & have breakfast, which usually turns out to be soy milk & CIB shaken up inside an empty gatorade bottle, guzzled on the fly. anyway, what do I do with the envelope? pass it on to my grandchildren? sue them for pain & suffering? what if my grandchildren don't have any money? should I sue carnation instead?)

got an email from a friend in SLC expressing condolences & I feel like kind of an ass since I didn't really try to contact her when I was up there. she's always been a good friend, confidant, drinking buddy, what-have-you & has actually come to this bleak little town a few times just to be with me.
things get weird between us.
there's the friendship thing, which runs deep. we'll always be friends & have that certain secret language between us that only we understand.
then there's a certain sort of sexual tension, that's a bit more nebulous & either undermines or enhances the friendship bit.
then there's our particular demons, which are kind of a manifestation of the fact that we both consider ourselves "artists", of a sort, which tends to lead one down some dark by-ways. sometimes they mesh, sometimes they clash.

I've attempted to check out the sg chat & just can't find the damn thing.. I've read the thread on the board & it just hasn't helped much. I need to be lead by the hand, I think...

to get to the chat: click the chat button on AIM, where it has a place for screennames to invite type in your own screenname. For "chatroom name" type in "sgchat"
