sunday morning--
when I go back to work a week from today I'll have been off for the better part of the month--not like it's been much of a vacation.
been up for about 2 hours now, listening to NPR as slightly fuzzy background (I get the Las Vegas station, but the antenna has snapped off my boom box & rather than trying to fix it, or buying a new sound system, I've just been leaning bit's of metal whatever up against the nub--at present, a music stand bought during a giddy, optomistic period when I thought I was going to learn the guitar -- & then doing some elaborate feng shui-ish positioning of boombox on floor, metal bits angled, turned, knocked-over--& see-sawing the tuner dial back & forth over the approximate location until I get the minimum of fuzz.)
it looks like it's going to be a beautiful morning, but the chill is definitely creeping in--I always feel like I should be looking out at it thru the window of a classroom, bored out of my skull, even tho I left school maybe ten years ago
