I had a pretty good b-day, thanks for asking.

I was going to drive to SLC, but for some reason decided to call a friend in Reno before embarking, & it turned out that she was driving here to suprise me.

so I decided to stay here. to be surprised.

did some hiking, barhopping, babequeing, visiting & such-like.

it was nice. it was better than nice it was--

very nice.

however:

I kind of--LIKE her--a lot.

there's this perverse--thing--in most of us that fervently desires the unattainable.

& then there's that bit that desires to BE the unattainable.

both bits are pretty firmly in the grip of the unconscious, as being pretty counter-productive (why chase after something you can't have when you can have something that you can, well, HAVE?)

but, well, there they are.


I'll expand on this, perhaps, but I'm tired.
