it seems like a week & a half ago there was snow on the ground & I had my heater on for much of the day--then spring for a couple of days--now summer

every year I have these plans of planting flowers, vegetables--tromping in from the yard with a bushel of homegrown goodness still warm from the sun...I buy packets & packets of seeds when I still have to dig the car out from under 3 feet of snow.
& then, bang, it's summer. I'd like to go out & do something in the yard but I'm lying in a spreading pool of sweat (my own--in case that needs clarifying)
I plant stuff, but it seems like it's always too late for anything to achieve full fruition.

I'm the same way about Halloween, in that I'll roll around in my mind fantastic ideas for costumes, events, or stories, & every year I'm driving around buying & then assembling bits & pieces of what's left for a half-hearted hodgepodge I'll wear to a party I was invited to an hour before.
