alright, I'm paranoid.
but stuff pops up to CONFIRM my delusions &--well, I just dunno WHAT to think.....
for instance, my initial rection on hearing about the whole Jessica Lynch dramatic rescue was, "You GOTTA be fucking kidding me."
NOT that I wasn't happy & all that she was safe, & that I wasn't sad for her compadres, or didn't feel for her family in the deliciously coincidental town of Palestine...but....
anyway theBBC , the Guardian & The Toronto Star carried these articles in the past week or so, & NOBODY's touching it here in the states (as far as the Mass Media goes)....
Question: Are there certain stories that should be, like, LEFT ALONE? Are we better off with the polite fiction, with the feel-good sham?
