I think I'm getting the hang of telefundraising. I bring colored pencils, some paper, and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets to work. I never ask as many times as I am supposed to...mostly because the person sounds so mad that I think they might avada kadavra me over the phone. Or they support Hillary and don't have the ability to listen to reason. I've said it before and I'll say it again: it's a discredit to womankind to vote for someone just because they are a woman. We are better than that. We can vote for a man if he would be a better president. Someday a smart woman who cares about the environment and hates war is going to run for office, and I'm voting for her. If Hillary seriously goes down in history for being the first female president, I can almost guarantee that people will be a lot more hesitant the next time a woman is on the ballot, and it will be a sad place in the textbooks.
