So the BBQ went off pretty well, all things considered.
It was looking bad for a while because it started pissing down rain around 2pm after threatening to all morning.
I was seriously pissed for a while becase I cooked all damn day. I had the smoker fired up all day. You could smell it for blocks. People were using it to find the house.
I smoked about 5 pounds of polish sausage then sauteed onions, peppers and garlic.
I also boiled Bratwursl and Sourkraut in beer with potatoes.
The big winner is my own thing where I take black tiger shrimp, wrap them in bacon and marinate them overnight ion a mixure of honey and Jim Beam BBQ sauce, then smoke them. Thay turned out really well.
I posted some pix of the food in the RANDOM folder and some other ones from the day in the FRIENDS folder.
All told about 40 people made it through in different sized batches. It was cool. We got drunk, (some, not me) got stoned, and we pigged out.
You can see the fireworks perfectly from our back yard, so it worked out.
