So it's time to get the fuck out of the current employment situation and into something better.
I've invested 4 and a half years into the restaraunt I'm at now, and essentialy gotten doodly-shit in return. It's one of these gigs where the harder you work, the more is expected of you, but you recieve none of the benefits of your sweat.
Fuck that noise. I'm a hightly trained proffessional chef, with 17 years experience. There's no reason to stay in a situation I'm not happy with.
So I applied today at a place up on the Golden Mile that opened a few months back. Nothing special, but they're (I thought) corperate, and I was hoping to get my foot in the door there in management, then transfer to one of thier other places in DC or Arlington when we moved. No such luck though. They're actaully indiviually owned franchises that operate within corperate guidelines, but no direct affiliation. Shit.
So anyway, the guy I interviewed with was crawling up my ass to hire me, but I'm most likely going to pass on it. The pay cut plus lack of long term benefits aren't worth the effort. Too bad though, on paper it looked like a decent gig.
I'll keep looking I guess. No rush. The guys I'm working for now don't know I'm on the market, and even if they did, thet would probably just kiss my ass to keep me around, just lie the last time I told them to eat shit and quit.
Off Topic:
Damn that Quinne's about hot as all heel ain't she? Thinking about checking her mans band out, I need some new decent music to listen to.
