Ok I'm sorry I've been away for a long time, wanna know what I did in the middle? I fought.
It's been since the last friday I'm basically fighting every day from morning to sleepy time for random reasons:
-Pissed off friends, that goes from illnesses to stress I have loads of friends that are super frustrated and basically every attempt to approach them ends up in a pointless fight. No big deal, I can handle this kind of stuff.
-Radicals: ok on facebook it's been a while since this story begun, basically a ton of my friends are being attacked by radicals of any kind who hate our job, they just hate science I don't even know why. Green energy radicals want solar panels everywhere, we develop them! Animal radicals want to stop animal research, actually we are also who develop the alternatives... so what's wrong with these guys! I would never understand why they blame us for that, sounds contradictory.
-Parents, well I always fight with them.
-Colleagues! I've been forced moving because my boss was offered to teach in another uni and I have to follow him since my research is directly linked to the guy. So my colleagues decided to destroy my pc at work and basically trying to make me look like an idiot storming me with questions at the general meeting of our group. Fair enough, I'm good at what I do: I repaired my pc and I answered every question without loosing my cool.
So yeah... pretty long week for me.
Anyway I also pretty randomly received a bunch of pics from a lot of years ago, when I barely finished my high school, I was impressed by the fact that could barely recognize myself in here: ok I look the same, but that smile betray an attitude that is not mine anymore. I feel live I'm looking at someone who looks exactly like me, but it's definitely not me. First time I have this feeling, I guess it's a good thing, I'm growing up.
I leave you with a song from Jaco Pastorius, an awesome bass player who died this day 25 years ago killed by a bouncer in Fort Lauderdale at the Midnight Bottle Club, this guy destroyed his head, broke his arm and almost rip one eye out of him, for all this he got 22 months of jail, but he was out after 4 for good behaviour. Definitely a crazy story.
