The worst thing about traveling all the time is not having your own things around you. I miss having my ratty old sweatshirt to put on and being able to go into my darkroom when ever I want. It is the little things.

I have been in 5 cities in 3 weeks and the other thing that strikes me is how everything in every city...

Give Duke and Mason a big hug from me. Max is making an excellent recovery.

I did finally get about 7 hours of sleep last night...I feel much more rested and "with it" today.

PS:You made me blush...on a website of nearly 1000 nude girls, you say such a sweet thing about me. Thank you kiss
shekinah:
kiss kiss

Max is much better. We visited him last night and he ate a lot of tuna for me. He also seemed more like himself, he gave me head butts and purrs galore. At one point he curled himself into the crook of my arm just like he does at home. I hope I can bring him home today.

Don't be too envious of Brando man, I'm not easy to live with. wink

Well I got part of my snow storm. At least a whole thimble full of snow fell today. mad

I really should not complain. I get to go to Paris for three days on business. I need to find a nice hotel in the Latin Quarter and see how much French wine can be sipped in a night and a sidwalk cafe. I know. It sounds...

kiss Thank you! I have always admired fencers but I fear I may not be coordinated enough to fence. I also have a mortal fear of sharp objects. Hmmm....

Do you really need to stay in the Latin Quarter? I have some suggestions for other areas that I am fond of in Paris.

I agree with you completely...Paris is the capital of people watching.
shekinah:

Near St.Germain-de-Pres there is Hotel Lutetia though it's a little close to some of the more touristy spots but it's fun. There is also the Bel Ami in the Latin Quarter, heard good things about it.

Hotel Bleu Marine, Montparnasse, if you want to be on that side.

Near the Louvre there is the Regina which I have liked in the past. The Normandy near the Louvre is also nice.

Le Patio St Antoine near Rue du Faubourg is great...small, quaint, courtyard and all that. Sometimes overrun with tourists, depending. Also cheap!

That's all I can remember right now...must get some sleep, more tomorrow.

I need a great winter storm with lots of snow that will shut everything down. The world needs to be under a white blanket of snow, so quiet and peaceful that we can all sit and think and touch and love, even if it means just reading a good book and looking out a window. Enjoy the winter!! biggrin
shekinah:
Oh, I love it when there is that much snow on the ground. It's been a long time since I have seen that kind of snow.

Thanks for the running tip. I do yoga on a daily basis but I also do specific stretch before and after running too. I heard it's great to run in Minnesota, flat and cool in the summers.

Todays my birthday and while the weather here in Minneapolis is bad, it is perfect for for a January Birthady. I only wish Susan was here so we could spend the day enjoying the bad weather. I hope all of you enjoy this January day. Enjoy it like it was your own birthday.

Happy New Year. biggrin
shekinah:
Belated Birthday to you! Thank you for your well wishes. kiss

People born in January are the coolest..or, perhaps the coldest? Either way, we're brilliant too. wink

Cold night and only the landlord stopped to talk to me. The rent was due.

I hope everyone out there is staying warm. This is such great cuddling weather.

Anyone know a good place to get inked in St Louis?

Sleep tight and sweet dreams.

Today is my birthday and I am starting a journal.

I am older than most of you and I want to tell you to hold on to your rebellion and whatever makes you feel different from everyone else. Embrace life, be wild and love with passion. Even when it hurts life is wonderful. Love, pain, lust, saddness, all are wonderful.

Have a new year full...
