I shot this set with @laughingorc and I'm ecstatic to see it go live! I see it as the marker of my recovery, the moment I was beginning to see my illness for what it was and had started to get healthy again. My eyes are full of light, my hair is shiny and healthy and my body is filling out in the right places :) I feel that in this set I look beautiful, happy and empowered. The glowing sunlight captures that mood so perfectly that it would be a joy to see it hit the front page!
I want to tell anyone suffering with mental illness that management and happiness is possible. You have to take care of yourself into the 'click' in your brain makes you ready to tale that step, and while that step is a long way coming for many of us it is waiting! I want to champion any woman who has wanted to feel beautiful in her own skin and struggled, any woman who has felt too thin, too fat, that her boobs were the wrong size. I am alive and full of pale fire. I hope everyone loves this set the way I do!
PS. yes, the title is a reference to Nabokov!
