Im a totally childish geek Im you are doing the regular nes pad you should totally do the coard aswell, like having it around your arm and the contact thingy is somewhat nostalgic to. But it could be looking really nice if you shape the coard into something, like having it twisted into a heart, like a metafor for you loving the game and being a nerd or something like that
