So my sister-in-law's fiance decided the night of the bridal shower that he's getting cold feet (last week). Today the wedding was called off. I can't believe it! (The wedding was scheduled for 3 weeks form today!)

In not so many words, I understand what he is saying, but wish that he would have reconsidered. He's a really great guy for her and her son, but he still has unresolved issues with his ex and TONS of issues with his daughter. I hope that he is able to work them out for his own sake, but my nephew is going to be devastated when they tell him (He's 8 and was looking forward to having a "real" dad - his biological father is an ass!) Changes a lot of plans for the whole family, beyond the wedding. And oh - my in-laws are out a sh*tload of $$

In other, better news, been off from school this week - classes start back up next week. 5 more and student teaching and I'm done in Dec.!!! YEA!!!

Beginning to plan a weekend hike on the AT in North Jersey this summer - gotta talk to my hiking partner from days gone by to see if he's up for it. Wife sounded good with the plan. Big hurdle completed for now!

Things I want to do this summer:
1) clean house out - get rid of all crap not opened since we moved in here 9 years ago!

2) rediscover Philly and all of the cool historic and fun places

3) play more golf

4) go camping at least 3 times

5) attend my first SGphilly event

6) Do something totally new and different from my usual hectic and repetative life - any suggestions???
