My family is insane!
How's that for a start??
My in-laws have retired and will begin traveling soon. My mother-in-law (who is wonderful , btw) hounded my sister-in-law for weeks about buying her son a dog for his birthday. Sis finally broke and agreed. Sis hates dogs... Her son is 9 and really only wnats the dog around part-time. Dog is too much for sis... Fight ensues over the past month about dog (it's only been at sis' house for 5 weeks). In-laws ready for divorce over dog (M-I-L wants to buy a house now for the dog - and not a dog house, either). People weren't talking to one another for a couple of days. Children (nephew and my son) are fighting.
Holy Hell - What's going on here!!!
On a good note - get to go to the farmer's market for fresh produce at great prices!
Got caught in the wicked storm that hit philly on Sat - when we went to get the car, my son just wanted to jump n all of the huge puddles. The elevator waiting area for the garage had a huge puddle in it. We did everything that we could to keep him from jumping in it so that other didn't get wet. Then this couple came in. Not that we keep him sheltered, but he doesn't often see people with pink hair or tattoos - which these two clearly had. The girl wanted to splach her boyfriend with the puddles, which of course encouraged my son. So, of course we let him jump in the puddles, but not too uch - he only got us wet.
Then we got stuck in the floods of South Jersey on the way home - I actually saw cars stalled out because of the rising water in the streets. Even the interstates were pretty flooded!
Summer is half over - what to do for the remaining 4 weeks??
