Another beautiful day at the beach. I brought my blanket and sunscreen this time. Im all alone, but thats the way I like it. People watching is one of my very favorite past times. If it werent for the burning sun I could stay out there forever, but even the sun makes me happy today. Tomorrow I go back to work, but I dont mind it so much. Work is work, just something else I do to survive in this fucked up world that is my life. Theres so much I should have doe in the past 3 days that I didnt do. Procrastination is another of my favorite past times, but I love the way the sand molds to my body, like a glove, like an old comfortable loverthere is no substitution for it. This sky is infinitely blue and I cant help but stare and feel nostalgic for other times, other places. Theres a stiff breeze and people are flying kites and it makes me want one, but Im broke already this month, for the first time in a while, Ive got to be careful about where my money goes, and most likely if I bought one, Id use it a few wonderful times and then its just sit somewhere in my apartment collecting dust, just like so many of my other wants; my microphone setup, my guitar and oh so many (cute) pairs of shoes

It sounds beautiful where you are. I am on the ocean, but our coastline is all rocky. 
No real sandy beaches. Procrastination is not always a bad thing...if you enjoyed your time off, then fuck all the other errands and chores. Time for yourself is important. When I feel bad about not getting stuff done, or stressing out about stuff, I just remind myself that I won't even remember it in a while. Ten years down the line it won't matter if you didn't clean your fridge out, or do the laundry. But you'll probably remember a beautiful day at the beach!

It's funny to me that so many people see rap and hip-hop in a negative context. It's associated with misogony, drugs and violence, but really that is only something that should be asociated with the rappers that choose that stuff as their subject matter. Unfortunately these rappers get all the press and or radio play. I started out listening to that kind of rap- mostly because it is just so over the top. I've progressed into all sorts of rap- Try Buck 65 or Themselves for intellectual rap, or Jurassic 5 or Lyrics Born for more positive rap.
