It's been quite a long while since I posted an update on SG, but there's been a lot that's changed, so here's a quick rundown.
1. I celebrated my 29th birthday on Wednesday and spent it driving across the country -- 13 hours on the actual day.
2. I no longer live in Pennsylvania, I've relocated to a small suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota. It's a job-related move and one that I think will end up paying off big for my chosen profession.
3. I'm watching Taxi Cab Confessions for no apparent reason at all.
4. I sold my PA system to the local Pennsylvania Roller Derby squad -- the Dutchland Rollers.
5. I've retired as the PA announcer for said Derby team, however, my Derby Name -- Horace N. Buggy -- will stay with the league in some, way shape or form.
6. I'm numbering this for no apparent reason.
I've pretty psyched about moving to a new area, because as much as I liked Lancaster, it just wasn't "enough" in terms of what I was looking for in things to do and activities. I got into the Derby and found a few disc golf courses and lived next to a small ballpark with a small independent baseball team as its tennant.
Long story short, I loved my job, but this new opportunity will lead to bigger and better things. I wasn't tied to the area, but I will miss the people I'd met immensely. I hope to go back and visit, but home is Virginia, not Pennsylvania.
I'll be more active, since I won't be working ungodly 90-hour weeks during the winter. Woo Hoo!
