It's a somewhat warm Sunday afternoon in Lancaster and I'm homebound, indoors and relaxed. I've spent the last two days mowing through my room, washing clothes and trying to just maintain a balance between sanity and sanctity.

Wrestling season's pretty much over and it's taken about a week to fully recover from the NCAA championships in Auburn Hills. The tournament itself was good, the venue itself was good, but nearly everything else about getting to and from the arena sucked. Had a good group of friends working with me at the event and that made the time on press row enjoyable, with my constant blarings at my crew to "not cheer on press row."

It's a professional courtesy not to root for any team or anyone visibly while a working member of the media; this is something I constantly adhere to and it's a bit tough to keep an eye on 10 people to make sure they're honoring the same professional courtesy.

Anyway, had my computer crash while I was out there and thankfully, i'd purchased a portable HD about two weeks prior to it going on the fritz, so I'd had pretty much everything backed up, I was just worried about the e-mail I'd lose out on.

I've also initiated the time and effort required to purchase a home. I've spent the last 19 months in rebuilding my credit -- if you can imagine, seven years of college combined with two piss-poor credit card attempts, late bills, etc. made it rather horrible when I first applied for a home loan just over a year ago. My credit's gone up over 100 points and I can tell you firsthand, paying your bills ON TIME actually means more than you think. I ended up getting my security deposit back from the power company in time to pay off two months of power bills just by paying it on time.

I'm looking for something small, probably a row-home/townhouse here in the City. The going rate for them is well within my price range and qualifying credit/borrowing power. I don't have the time to work for a rancher or one-story place right now, because during the travel, when would I have time to really upkeep the yard and such. I guess that goes with being single.

My 10-year HS reunion is coming up and I'm still unsure if I'll attend. There's really not too many folks I would care to see after 10 years, right now, with everyone in their late 20's, it's still "clique-y" with a lot of snobbery that exists with the type of town it is.

There's a definite void when it comes to the dating realm, I"m just not in places that would be conducive to starting up anything. I'm almost 28, but I've got my life pretty much in order. I'm a bit of a mess in the head, but that's more because of a spastic thought process and no real semblance of actual "order" -- just go at the seat of my pants, but sometimes I prefer just to chill.

I like getting wordy and on rants, since as I've said before, this is somewhat therapeautic in a sense.

So the season's over, I get some time to enjoy my weekends and not live in hotels and long drives. It's warming up, so I can play some disc golf and enjoy the outside, something I'm going to try to do more often this summer, as well as try to kickstart another shot at losing some unnecessary poundage. Dropped about 12 pounds in the last two weeks, but it's up and down.
