Well a most interesting a day today.
It was the 14th February, Valentines Day.
Was woken up at around 10:00 by michelle, phoning to thank me for the card, wish me a happy Valentines Day and generally tell me how much she misses me. awwwwwww. Instead of doing the sensible thing and getting up and having some breakfast i then went back to sleep. Woke up at noon and panicked, realising i had half an hour to get down the sports centre for the saturday fencing session.
I fencing really well today. On a saturday UWA Fencing club runs the novice/beginner foil ladder competion. After the first session last saturday the random draw left me languishing in 7th. So in an attempt to drastically move up the ladder i challenged Pascale who was in 2nd. (The fencer in 1st didn't turn up!) After leading most of the way through the bout, i narrowlly lost 10-9. (Club ladder rules mean that each bout is first to 10). I then immediatly challenged Sarah was in 3rd place. This match went even better and i won 10-4!. I am now in 3rd in the comp and hoping to do get that first place soon. :o)
Another interesting development was the fact that the mens 1st team has a match against Cambridge University tomorrow. All of the first team apart from alex has refused to go and ive been bullied by alex into fencing foil! Cambridge have some of the best student fencers in the country so i know i wont do to well tomorrow. But at least i will gain a lot of experience and get the cloth badge for representing the uni at a sport!
Got back from fencing today and did some shopping and made myself a huge fry up :o) Then went to sleep and woke up a lot later. I phoned to michelle to see if she had recived the rose in its little glass presentation thingy i had ordered to be delivered to her had arrived. It had but she had been out into town and so didnt see it until just before i phoned! lol. Her parents had seen it before her! Still she loved it and thats what mattered.
Well ive really go to go to bed soon. Ive got to meet the rest of the 'first team' in 5 hours and i still havent gone to bed yet!
