apologies for not answering everyone's recent comments. i've been a bit overwhelmed with all of them, but to celebrate (all those sometimes cruel and other times funny) comments that everyone left about picture #2, i have made said picture my profile so that you can all laugh more frequently. this is for a limited time only (like burger king's jalapeno poppers--aka: chilli cheese tacos UK-side)...

it may have come out wrong, but I still like it.

Think about it, though. Something goes wrong in one manner, and leaves another effect behind. Although it may not be the desire that motivated the change in the first place, it creates something new. It creates something even in the wake of it's disaster. In this case, something beautiful from something regarded as bad. I love how chaos works out sometimes.

its a stormy day in london. i guess blue skies couldn't last forever (and certainly not here!), but that's ok. i'm still into life and living it.

mad shout outs to all those lovely people who wrote me such nice comments yesterday evening. it's silly that an online community can make someone feel so good and can remind them of what they do have. lots...

What's on your shoulder....?

You'll be pleased to know I am no longer wearing my suit (in fact, for one second I was naked!!!) blush
kolumkilli:
I haven't been as attentive to people as I maybe should have been recently, and I am sorry about that, but I've just had a lot to deal with lately. Unfortunately it's something of an ongoing thing. I promise you it's nothing personal - I need and value my friends very much even if I'm not giving that impression at the moment.

Incidentally, the very, very last thing I find you is boring...

I'd be honoured if you'd have me back anyway.

Who the hell took the photo - and why?

*sigh*

could another one of my friends die? because i would really like that. (hear the sarcasm)

one of my old buddies died today. in december he bitched about the pain in his back and everyone told him to buck up and fuck off.

1 month later he goes to doctor. doctor says 'you have lung cancer'.

4 months later, sah=corpse.

That is just the worst thing. frown
Hugs

The worst one I had to deal with was when a friend quite a bit younger than me died in a car accident, that just felt so wrong. frown

I don't smoke.
missredcherry:
im so sorry to hear about your friend. Super big hug going out to you.

I havent lost many people in my life, but the ones i have lost meant everything to me. i lost a really close friend when I was 15 which ripped my world apart. i then lost a friend when I was 17 to drugs and he was my rock for a while. Its always the good ones that go and it seems the world is really unfair. the only thing you can do is keep the memories close to your heart and find people that are true friends who you believe can be as close to you as the ones you've lost where. We are not here to replace people just to support you through the bad and remind you of all the good

love big hugs to you

when i was young (as in before i started grade K-->less then 5 years old) i had a real thing for bottles. i loved drinking out of them. my parents thought it was odd and wouldn't let me do so, so i'd climb around the kitchen when they weren't watching and find some to drink out of it.

do you think it was because i...

Its a great film and its one of the few films that my housemate and I both like. Normally he hates all the films that I like. Consequently, in order to even the score a little bit, it was necessary for me to tone down my enjoyment of Jacob's Ladder. Although, I have enjoyed the film every time I have watched it, on this occasion, I actually made a positive effort to find a reason to criticise the film. I realise that this may seem little underhand, but trust me it was entirely necessary under the circumstances, as I couldn't possibly allowed my housemate to get away with ripping into all of my precious beloved films. Back in the days when my housemate was actually willing to watch my films, he generally tended to write them all off either by stating that they were "cliched goth-shit" (such as Sleepy Hollow, Donnie Darko or Francis Ford Coppola's version of Dracula) or with the following statement "Sometimes an artist uses obscurity to hide a lack of substance" (eg eXistenZ or anything else by Cronenberg).

Hence, when my housemate, his girlfriend and I had finished watching Jacob's Ladder and he wanted to discuss the film, what I actually said was that it was just another cliched, paranoid film about how the government / military conducted evil drug-testing experiments on the armed forces and that this really was a rather worn out theme and that as for the bit about him being dead but not realising it, "Sometimes an artist uses obscurity to hide a lack of substance"!! Oh I am such a pig at times!!

yet another reason to fear birds:

They make toads explode!

i'm not sure whether to think

-the birds are cool because they are so smart
-biology in general is cool
-birds are meanies

those poor toads. frown try to put yourself in their shoes (er, feet...).

nope, more of scared as describing exploding tools as cool. It's cool, but it's not cool.

HA! biggrin I'm guessing the former. Coz it's so hot they had to use an extra "t".

I too have been following the exploding toad saga on BBC online. I kinda feel bad for the toads. But then I remember that they pee on you when you pick them up, so maybe it's Justice.
