when i was young (as in before i started grade K-->less then 5 years old) i had a real thing for bottles. i loved drinking out of them. my parents thought it was odd and wouldn't let me do so, so i'd climb around the kitchen when they weren't watching and find some to drink out of it.

do you think it was because i didn't want to stop being a baby? or just because, even at an early age, i was into nipples?

i also continued to suck my thumb until about age 6. my parents would try to scare me and tell me that i would get buck teeth from it. i didn't. and i would like to mention that i have almost perfectly straight teeth and i've never had braces. my only imperfection (with regard to straightness of teeth) is one on my bottom row that is slightly wonky--but hardly noticeable. it is only wonky because my wisdom teeth gave it a good nudge when they grew in, but i dont mind because i've never had to have my wisdom teeth removed. apparently i have plenty of room in there for them.

so it should follow from that that i like to put things in my mouth. maybe i do. maybe i dont.

i also have a freckle on my lower lip. probably caused from overexposure to the sun (from whence all of my freckles have come), but more often mistaken by other people to be a bit of chocolate. sometimes i find it unbelievable how many times someone has said something like "i think you have a spec of chocolate on your lip there" and i say "what?! i dont eat chocolate" and then proceed to try to wipe myself clean for a few minutes before realizing what they really saw.

i'm hoping that tomorrow is sunny here in london so that i can get some more exposure to the sun. not overexposure mind you, but i need as much as i can get. i am not sure that anyone on the planet is paler than me and i am sure that i am missing some sort of sunlight-vitamin. i'm sure there are a few others missing as well, what with my poorly constructed vegetarian diet that consists almost solely of fruit smoothies, jack daniels, and the "3 treasures" from the local chinese place. i do however, sometimes replace the jack with red stripe beer as well as the 3 treasures with an indian curry. if i had a good vietnamese restaurant/supermarket around, i would add that to my diet.

on a side note: my fruit smoothie for the day was delicious:

1 banana
1/2 can of pinapple (with entire can of juice)
1 kiwi
1 asian pear
ice

in other news: exams are coming up--so i'm to imprint structured information onto my brain for safe keeping until after my exams when the information will be systematically erased. exams are useless. i would protest, but am not smart enough to compose a good argument nor do i have the time, energy, or devotion.

i love you all today. i feel healthy despite my lack of vitamins and numerous ouchies. i'm into life and living it at the moment. catch me while i'm alive. kiss

waldo_jeffers:
Its a great film and its one of the few films that my housemate and I both like. Normally he hates all the films that I like. Consequently, in order to even the score a little bit, it was necessary for me to tone down my enjoyment of Jacob's Ladder. Although, I have enjoyed the film every time I have watched it, on this occasion, I actually made a positive effort to find a reason to criticise the film. I realise that this may seem little underhand, but trust me it was entirely necessary under the circumstances, as I couldn't possibly allowed my housemate to get away with ripping into all of my precious beloved films. Back in the days when my housemate was actually willing to watch my films, he generally tended to write them all off either by stating that they were "cliched goth-shit" (such as Sleepy Hollow, Donnie Darko or Francis Ford Coppola's version of Dracula) or with the following statement "Sometimes an artist uses obscurity to hide a lack of substance" (eg eXistenZ or anything else by Cronenberg).

Hence, when my housemate, his girlfriend and I had finished watching Jacob's Ladder and he wanted to discuss the film, what I actually said was that it was just another cliched, paranoid film about how the government / military conducted evil drug-testing experiments on the armed forces and that this really was a rather worn out theme and that as for the bit about him being dead but not realising it, "Sometimes an artist uses obscurity to hide a lack of substance"!! Oh I am such a pig at times!!
