i was browsing around the english slang dictionary when i discovered this word (ok, i already knew it, but kept reading for clarification purposes):
muff
Noun. The female genitals. The innuendo being inclusive of pubic hair. [1600s]
Verb. To spoil or fail. E.g."She muffed her chances of winning the race when she stumbled at the last hurdle."
why is a word that means 'cooter' also a word that means 'to spoil or fail'? that's not very nice.
