back in the USA and its even flatter than i remembered.

i wanted to post a pic of something here so describe my location, but frankly i'm too lazy and jetlagged to get out my camera so i'll just describe it.

its a ceramic frying pan. and its got a ceramic duck attached to it. it hangs on the wall by a piece of twine. oh yeah. welcome to ohio.

we stopped at a truck stop on the way from the airport. they have a gift shop there. yes, at a truck stop. i almost bought a cowboy hat. i love cowboy hats. but its kind of like the shoes thing--my head is too small (or maybe they are all just made for large truck-driving men.)

the best thing about being back so far--endless cups of coffee. free refills until your heart explodes from the caffine. mmmmm, coffee.

[oh yeah, and just a note for all you out there that have had some experience of my mother--she now stores dry food goods (canned tomatoes, flour, etc) in the refridgerator]
